Our shiatsu session room is in a traditional Japanese folk house over 100 years old. (Considering the average Japanese house life cycle is 30 years, it is very old.) The house has special traditional charm and a warm, nostalgic and comfortable atmosphere.
Of course, the house has some inconveniences because of its age, such as frame distortion, sliding doors which don’t slide, freezing temperatures in winter, and leaking roofs. Although the house obviously cannot have the same functionality as a brand-new house, with our DIY efforts and renovation by professional carpenters, the house has preserved its traditional appeal and comfortable atmosphere.
It seems the human body is the same as the life of an old folk house. As you get older, your body is changing. You cannot move as you did in your teens or 20s. Your body posture or joint conditions change due to aging, and you might experience some pain or discomfort. Your living environment and work conditions could also cause unpleasant symptoms.
But it is still possible to optimize your level of physical comfort by exercising, resting properly, and making some adjustments to your everyday habits.
Our objective is to offer our best support for your well-being. For that, we not only provide shiatsu sessions (somewhat similar to repair and renovation of houses), but also self-care such as customized advice on stretching and exercises (similar to cleaning and DIY for houses.) With these sessions, you can optimize your level of physical comfort by eliminating or reducing pain or symptoms, countering the effects of aging, injuries or living environment.

Shiatsu is a therapy, using thumbs, fingers and palms to apply pressure on the human body. It promotes natural healing power in your body by releasing muscle tension, and improving blood and lymph circulation. It has no side effects and has a high relaxing effect.

Session flow (English available)
1. Medical interview
Please share your symptoms, experience, and daily lifestyle. If necessary, we will check your posture and joints. Based on the interview, we will make a treatment plan and explain it.
Adjust the imbalances of the whole body, check skeletal alignment, and we will address the symptoms. Please come dressed in comfortable clothes, no need to change your clothes.
3. Info sharing
After the treatment, we will share with you the aspects of your physical condition found during the treatment. We will also advise gentle exercise methods, stretching, and lifestyle habits.
Since the session will be done as mentioned above, it will take about 10 minutes before and after the treatment.
